“You’ve got to do your own growing, no matter how tall your grandfather was.” – Irish Proverb

Personal growth is an exercise that starts change. It begins a change from within to allow you to grow as an individual. It is a process that requires you to ask tough questions about yourself and your present situation. Personal growth is not an easy task. If it were easy, it would not be worth doing. So let’s start with some questions. Up first, what can you do to change or improve your life right now?

  • Are you happy with your life right now?
  • Do you enjoy your job?
  • Are you satisfied with your relationships?
  • What motivates you to succeed?
  • Have you ever wanted more?
  • How do you spend your time?
  • What is your plan for becoming more successful?

Personal growth is a process that starts when you begin asking yourself these questions. It is a journey that can take you to unexpected places. Thought difficult and challenging, the process of questioning yourself and discovering those answers is rewarding. The true joy of personal growth is that it is a process that is constantly evolving. Just as you reach one plateau, you realize that there is still another mountain to climb.

The process of personal change starts form within. It requires that you work on and improve certain aspects of your life.

  • You need to believe in you.
  • It requires an adjustment in attitude
  • You need to become more aware, both internally and externally

As I’ve mentioned earlier Personal Growth is an internal process. You are responsible for your own success. You have the ability to grow, learn, and become the individual you’ve always wanted to be. However, you can also choose to do nothing. Many people are afraid of the process, wondering if they can change, if they can improve. They allow their insecurities to get the best of them.

Ultimately, the decision will be up to you. You are the one who has the control, you are the one who makes the decisions.

I’m a big believer in personal growth plans. I prefer to make small plans each month and let the knowledge build, but it’s basically the same thing. The idea is to give the mind a positive direction and work on making a better life.
